Compliance checklist

OLGR Compliance Officers check Approved Managers, licence conditions, CCTV, fire equipment and safety exits. They also inspect liquor advertising, harm minimisation signage, registers, the location of ATMs, gaming advertisements and whether gaming machines can be seen by passers by.

A compliance checklist has been developed to help licensees understand what OLGR Officers look for.

Any issues or discrepancies detected are raised at the time of the inspection. In most instances, OLGR officers provide education and advice about how to address any breaches while they are there at the premises.

Licensees and their staff may like to print copies of the compliance checklist for their own regular checks of licensed premises, to ensure ongoing compliance.
