Trading during FIFA World Cup
With the FIFA World Cup fast approaching we would like to remind all licensees of their obligations when remaining open after approved trading hours for patrons to watch sporting events.
If a licensee wishes to trade outside the licensed trading hours for the sale, supply and consumption of liquor, an application for permanent or temporary change to trading hours needs to be submitted.
Licensees can operate outside the approved trading hours when providing services other than those which are liquor related. For instance, a licensee may wish to remain open to allow patrons to watch televised world sporting events outside of approved trading hours provided alcohol is not served.
