Restaurant’s ‘Principal Activity’ strictly enforced from 1st July

From 1 July 2015, licensees with a commercial other subsidiary on-premises licence, where the principal activity is provision of meals, will be required to ensure that for every trading day most of their patrons have consumed a meal at the premises.

In addition, the majority of the premises will be set up for dining, and the kitchen will be open up to one hour prior to closing the premises.  There must be sufficient staff at the premises to prepare and serve meals as required during this time.
